so bboj arrives on saturday now, instead of friday as originally planned. at least he managed to get a plane ticket though, no thanks to that good-for-nothing-mabel-of-a-travel-agent-beeyotch.

in other news, we have done three loads of laundry today.

disclaimer: gloomy emo post ahead, uncharacteristic of this blog, but hey nobody's happy all the gosh-darn time.

amidst all the excitement coz of bboj's arrival with a new computer in tow, and mum finally coming home (or maybe not) things in singapore are a little bleak ... maybe it's the time of year, or karma in singapore or something. after rushing back to singapore in january for a "family reunion", another one on dad's side of the family seems imminent. this time not all of us are going i think. which is kind of sad ... partly because we (the wyrd sisters + cousins here and there) won't be part of the whole shebang, but mostly because i think not everyone really wants to.

everyone's made their tan tock seng pilgrimage already, spending the requisite time holding hands and making small talk ... but dropping everything and going back for a final send-off isn't something that we're prepared to do. and i wonder, had it been the other way around and it was the grandpa we were close to that decided 3 weeks into semester was the right time to go, would we have given all relevant personnel 2 hours notice and booked the first flight back? i think the probability is high.

i think it's kind of horrible of us to stay here, but at the same time the thought of having to deal with the aftermath of leaving is kind of overwhelming. sometimes doing the right thing is really hard =(

it has recently come to my attention that a certain visitor here doesn't like marshmallows. now now, let's not judge him *koff*

but anyway, it made me realize that i was in possession of some marshmallow-related knowledge and i hadn't shared it!!

for those of you who don't like marshmallows in their original mallowy state, you can turn it into fudge! here's how:

1. get a microwave-safe bowl, and empty a packet of marshmallows into it
2. throw chocolate buttons/blocks in with the marshmallows
3. add some butter
4. microwave for one minute
5. take bowl out of microwave and stir the melty goo around
6. put back in microwave for one more minute

and it's done! 2-minute fudge!! eat with nuts or on its own. it's reeeeally tasty!

oh my goshness! two posts in one day ?! wow. i'm on a roll. actually i'm just feeling kind of [insert adjective here]. self-critique on countdown banner says it's not so hawt but hey! it's been awhile!! don't judge me =( else i may become emo.

uni has started, and really nothing much goes on in the world of design & documentation. this semester will be oh-kaaay. but here is a reminder to all you students, uni-type or otherwise, that the internet is NOT a good reference source.

mm also, bboj is coming to town! i will do a little countdown banner. or maybe not .. because i am lazy. we'll see! perhaps this wee banner will be the tinder that will aid the ignition of my creative fire!! hehe. behold, my analorgies !!
