because we are an intellectual pair, stoo and i came to two conclusions today:

1. roid rage (henceforth known as the rage) at its berserking peak will annihilate all enemies within a 100m radius. however, should you wish to go into the rage, be aware that this will result in a prolapse, which may or may not be made all better with a band-aid and a kiss from your lady love.

2. boning is what big kids do .. bonKing is for thunderbirds.

3. is completely unrelated, but educational nonetheless. thanks mun!

*also, a reminder to myself, from mun to check out dc benny, ron white, lewis black and dane cook (but only from the insomniac tour), and greg giraldo and dave attel ..

it's kind of pathetic how you take a break from one computer programme by opening another one (i.e. autocad to photoshop) to make stuff for your blog.

anyhoo, you'll notice on the right that i've made a blinking button! the picture was part of a wallpaper i made for the stupid loser friends in commemoration of our 10th (going on 11th) year of friendship. blinking text inspired by razor ramon HG. foo ! it reads "sekai no tomodachi" which means friends of the world. (if you're japanese and this is wrong, then oops ..)

the button is meant to be a link banner, but i don't know how to make the little frame to put the "copy this html text to link me" code .. if anyone knows how, please let me know? i'd google it but i don't really have time right now.

if you want to jump the gun and link it the old-fashioned manual way, then type this into your template:

[a href="http://samuraibunny.blogspot.com"][img border="0" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/eeeeevilgirlie/girlies.gif"][/a]

replacing the [ ] with < >
every time folio week comes around, i wonder "what else could i be doing that isn't folio" .. answer? a lot of things. the decision i came to before was that i'd finish off archi before attempting to become a tattoo artist, though i'd have to improve my drawing heaps before i even attempt that. failing that, being some kind of translator would be fun too (i would be fluent in mandarin *HARHAR*, english, japanese and italian), and then get unwittingly embroiled in some kind of united nations scandal and go on an adventure with a secret agent masquerading as the foreign minister from sweden who would bear a striking resemblance to chris dangeous (oh chris!).

but no ..

also, right now i would rather be:
  • screen-printing the urahara shop t-shirts that stuie and i have left languishing for about half a year
  • learning another language
  • sleeping
  • making accessories
  • planning a shinobi mission
  • not here
cad fairyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy save meeeeeeeeee !!

random mid-day sms:
"today's pick-up line for autocad user: can i attach my external referene to your object?" .. although i prefer the short and simple "what's up, b-hatch?"
kinda wish that i could upload *.gif files to flickr .. that would be most convient. but anyway ..

dear mr. marie,
your birthday is tomorrow, but your party was last night! so i figured it's ok to put up your birthday post now. else you will be too busy opening up the "surprise" that mrs. mar sent from mimco (i really wonder what it is .. *koff*)

you are indeed a great shopping/sewing/jewellery-making/bead-shop-trawling/bubble-tea
-ing/ohnamiya-ing/procrastinating buddy! also you are very tolerant of the abuse that cousin and i put you through. the texta hairs we drew on your toes do eventually wash off.

please do your credit card a break and do some work, but keep on singing!! you are getting good at those arpeggios.

midday randomness:

apparently if i am seen outside the house with my hachimaki on, i may freak out the korean neighbours. hehe ..

Thursday, May 25, 2006

i joined this!

it seems fun and not really time-consuming ..
talk about distraction ..

there's a lady in my studio who's got pretty chiselled features. not like she has a square jaw or anything, but it's pretty defined. and she's got quite a big-boned physique. and all she was doing was yammering about her design, and while i was zoning out i kept thinking that, had this been a different century, she would have been called "a handsome woman".

just like this lady! but with her hair let down, and wearing target jumpers. totally digging the bung eye.

also, i realize that takchek's blog might be a bit wordy for some of you, so the link to the NUS ad is here. and another one here .. which still made my skin crawl. but i think because i was prepared for the worst, it wasn't as huge a shock as the first one.
takchek's blog has an interesting article + a link to NUS's new ad. i'd love to say it's great. but erm .. *rolls eyes*

because we are a close-knit family, my sisters and i communicate via msn, and my cousin and i email each other.

and then, because we are a random family, we get emails like this:

"

/ 忍びaway!!
hello readers and also schladies!

the parentals' anniversary is coming up in july, and i'm planning to turn my sisters + cousins into a little band. but we have no song to sing =P so it'd be much appreciated if you gave your suggestions?

nothing bryan adams-y or rod stewart-y please. we want nice and romantic. some cheese is okay, but not TOO much. fast or slow doesn't matter i suppose, as long as it's a nice song.

please leave a comment or a tag and i'll take note of your suggestion!

procrastinating by putting together a motivational poster.

also, sifting through my camera i found this really old photo i took of a mutated kiwi. doesn't it look like a hairy butt? hawhaw.

watch the video too ok? the guy's face is absolutely priceless.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

was tagged by sondha, so i guess i have to do this!

six weird things about me:

1. i HATE the word "moist". for some reason it makes me want to shower. and now i wish i hadn't typed it? because i just showered and now i feel like i need another one. moving on ...

2. i only like white-fleshed peaches, and will refuse to eat inferior substitutes such as yellow-fleshed peaches, or any type of nectarine.

3. i think vodka gives me hives.

4. needles scare me. watching someone get an injection or a piercing freaks me out, and everytime i got my ears pierced i thought i was going die. but i don't mind getting an injection myself, and i'm addicted to tattoos.

5. i get haircuts that resemble anime characters' haircuts.

6. i used to wish that the ninja turtles lived in the sewer under my house, and that they'd take me on crime-fighting adventures

7. i still do! =P

ok now i tag derelyn (for whom finding just 6 things may be a challenge), sheepman (ditto), and beth*

* notice, if you will, a link to her blog

i can't believe i'm admitting this...

but last night while marie and i embarking on our respective creative endeavours, there was this steven seagal movie going on in the background (above the law) and it was ho-o-o-o-o-o-orrible!! but o so memorable. anyway he is lame. anyway, stoo said that there is an official steven seagal website, which i had a look at and it wasn't that interesting. he's going on tour! a music tour! amazement.

anyway google turned up his wikipedia entry and it's pretty interesting! for instance, did you know that he named his youngest child from his third wife, after the nanny, whom he was having an affair with? well yes, you do. because i just told you. but why would you let your husband name your child after the nanny? especially when it's pretty much a telltale sign that he's boning her? anyway. steven seagal, ladies and gents. he can still afford an internet domain.

it is mothers' day! and even though my mum doesn't read this blog (i hope), here is a public shout out to her!

do you heart your momma as much as these wyrd gurlies heart their momma* ?!?!

* yeah .. you probably do =)

Saturday, May 13, 2006

ohhh my gawd! it's a real-life vicky pollard. read it in the west australian. didn't believe it, so googled it. and it's true !! how yukky.

also, while waiting for my hair to dry after work yesterday, i made some desktop wallpapers. i dont know how this will work, but i guess if u right-click on "set as desktop" the resolution will still be ok.

this sheep one is just re-done from sheepman's birthday "card", but better resolution etc ..

and this jessica alba one was actually for jude, but you all can share too if you so desire =P also, if you aren't so keen on jessica alba, tell me and i can always put a different girl there !
the stuff at this website is really cuuuuuuuute. and for the first time since forever, i have a wallpaper that i haven't made myself! it is now the pig of happiness. how happy is that pig ?!

Friday, May 12, 2006

R(A) stuff ahead! and yes i am aware that this is like my billionth post today, but i today has been particularly procrastinatey, so sue me.

anyway, below is the result of some innocuous comment i made to wyrd sister no. 3 about bird pee

how is it that such normal people managed to spawn such weird children?!
s (via sms): is it a bad thing that even at my age i was not able to stifle a giggle when i spotted 'testicle' in my chinese-english dictionary just then?

g : do u want an honest answer?

s : i think we all know the answer to the question

g : well i laughed when u typed 'testicle'. what's testicle in chinese anyway?

s : hehe, testiclé and testiclat and friendster testis. we're ovewhelmed in this modern ball-centric society.

s: gao1 wan2 .. which is like "tesi ball/epllet" or summat

g: hahaha testi-pellets.

s: hehe hehe hehe hehe oh stop

so the point is, it's not normal for 21-year olds to giggle when we see words describing "dirty bits" in the dictionary. or on friendster. or wherever. but we will continue to giggle anyway!! for we are incorrigible gigglers.

thinking of i.m. pei, the pritzker prize-winning architect always reminds me of i am weasel, which makes me think of i.r. baboon.

the architect is not a baboon, and vice versa, but i like them both.

mothers' day is coming up this sunday. appreciate her! or else. even better, sing her that song from the fernleaf milk powder ad. you know the one! shrill girly voice and all. and if you do, record and share!

*translator's note: on this earth, only got your mother so good.

p.s. you know you're the world's worst ever chinese person when you have to ask a jap guy for help with vocabulary. O the SHAME! although, he does major in chinese at uni.

dear sheepman, happy birthday! please do not take this image to mean that i wish for your sudden and violent demise. actually it's because i couldn't find a picture of a sheep, so i tried to make one using various dingbat fonts. but then i couldn't find a suitable head. so i didn't =P

anyway. happy birthday!

this blog is
Ninja animation
and so are you
what i am about to tell you is probably not new .. and actually it's really lame, but i can't help myself. so anyway, i was thinking that if someone launched a strong anti-singapore government campaign, they could call it the PAPsmear campaign.

heeheehee

that's it now back to work.
singapore elections are over and PAP won again! well sure. ok duh .. but it seems their popularity is dropping! most of their seats were won with really narrow margins, and even lee hsien loong's constituency wasn't a walkover or landslide victory.

personally i don't think singapore is ready for such a drastic change in government yet. maybe in time the opposition parties will have the chance to show what they're really made of, but at the moment, i don't think singaporeans are prepared to take a leap of faith. things are too secure! and can any of the opposition parties afford "progress packages"? i don't think singapore wants to go the same way as the philippines or indonesia have with some of ex-leaders. you don't want some wildly popular dude who used to be an action hero, or a not-so-cute old man who can't see or hear and falls asleep in parliament, because that would just be completely useless.

so anyway, it's good that people are starting to take risks with who they vote for and all that. maybe one day there will be a sea change and things will get really exciting in sg. i will make sure to get a CPF account the next time i do work experience so i get my progress package. i'm a low-income earner living in a 3-room flat (albeit in marine parade). i wonder how big my angpow will be =) but for now, let's just watch the PAP shit their pants in preparation for the next election!! i'd love to see how that goes.

lookie at this! courtesy of takchek, one of my contacts on flickr whom i don't know, or even speak to, but commented once, but since i never checked i received it 5 months late.

and then she rambled on: flickr can be silly. you can add or be added as a contact by anybody at all, but when you ask them "who are you?" and "how did you find me?" and "do i know you", nobody says a damn thing. or they pretend they never received your mail, or they just ignore it. ok so maybe flickr is not the one that's funny. and i also don't mind if you just add, but i'm curious! and anyway it can't hurt to be friendly.

i wish i could paint like mark ryden. i'm not exactly naturally talented, and the only art instruction i ever received when i was a kid was really boring and uninspiring (i think it was yamaha art school or some rubbish at parkway parade). and then i never actually took it up again, so really i am quite under-developed. so anyway, anybody wanna give a quarter-aged girlie some art lessons?
from my random blog-surfing during typical procrastination, i found this iTunes fortune telling thing. so anyway, switch shuffle-mode on and press play. and the order that the songs come in are the answers to the following questions. here are mine!

Last Dinosaur - The Pillows.
no idea what this means

What is the best thing about me?
Yo Pumpkin Head - Cowboy Bebop OST
nor this

Monkey on my back - Aerosmith
wow that's harsh

What describes your grandparents?

awww .. shit =( why couldn't it be 'Ne Worry Pas' or something ?!

What do my friends really think of me
The Killing Moon - Pavement
chorus: cucumber, cu-cu-cumber, ca-ca-ca-ca-cabbage

Do people secretly lust over me?
Red Light Indicates Doors are Secure - Arctic Monkeys

How can i make myself happy?
Give Judy My Notice - Ben Folds

What should i do with my life?
Adolescent Song of Mindless Devotion - Lucksmiths

Will i ever have children?

What is my signature dance song?

Little Acorns - White Stripes

in summary, many things about my "future" don't make sense. and if they do, it's all dismal as shit anyway. that's great! i can't wait!

also, this is silly.
